Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas, also known as Ashanti, was born on the 13th of October of 1980, from Glen Cove New York United States. She is a singer, songwriter from America and actress. Ashanti was discovered while an untrained teenager, and later became signed to Murder Inc. Records in 2002. She appeared in The Fat Joe's What's Luv? song that same year. Also, she was featured on Fat Joe's song"What's the Luv?" Her tracks Foolish (number 1) and What's Luv! She was the first female artist to have both of the highest two positions on the Billboard Hot 100 in America including Foolish at number one and What's Love? at number 2.
